Using an interdisciplinary team approach, Nodin’s Outpatient Mental Health Service (OMHS) integrates multiple modalities to assist clients to enhance their coping skills and supports surrounding mental health and addictions type issues. These could include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and post self-harm. In addition, the multi-disciplinary team provides case management, cultural support and teachings, art therapy, and psychological care.
OMHS is available to clients residing in Northern communities that have come out to Sioux Lookout seeking mental health and addiction services. No age restrictions.
As OMHS is not a crisis response program, any client with acute safety related concerns (high risk behavior) can seek support through the nearest emergency department / nursing station. Acute safety concerns include suicidal intent / attempt, acute psychosis, and homicidal ideation / intent.
OMHS is excited to announce that in the near future, new criteria and programming will be coming to better serve our clientele.
