Hostel Scheduler

The Hostel Scheduler is responsible for supporting Hostel Team Leaders with staff scheduling. This includes coordination and communicating with Hostel staff for schedules and performing other activities such as entering staff schedules into Time Clock Plus, print biweekly employee check in and check out reports for timesheet verifications, and processing biweekly timesheets.


  • Minimum Grade 12 and/or post-secondary education in Office Administration
  • Experience working with Microsoft office and database systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the Indigenous culture


  • Responsible for completing schedules and timesheets into Timeclock Plus
  • Perform general duties including correspondence related monthly planning for schedules, distribution of monthly schedules and make revisions as required, provide ongoing updates to Hostel on-call worker
  • Attend meetings with Hostel Team Leaders to discuss  staff schedules
  • Responsible for orientation to Team Leaders on TimeClock Plus
  • Responsible for the administration of TimeClock Plus (i.e. changes to the schedules etc.)
  • Ensure all relevant payroll forms   are attached to timesheets prior to submitting to Hostel Team Leader for signing
  • Coordinate replacement for staff calling in sick, taking vacation and CTO and
  • Other duties as required by Director of Client Services
