Health Insurance
We offer a comprehensive health insurance plan at no cost to employees. The premiums are 100% paid by Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA).
Coverage includes: Health Coverage (Prescription, Dental, Vision, Professional Services), Short & Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Critical Illness, and more.
Professional Fee Reimbursement
SLFNHA recognizes the economic costs and supports the need or requirement of many of our full-time employees who need or are benefited by belonging to a governing, licensing, or regulatory body (ie. College of Nurses Ontario). Full-time employees who are required to maintain a licensing fee in good standing, and pay an annual renewal fee may be reimbursed.
Fitness Reimbursement
As part of our continued focus on Health, SLFNHA is pleased to offer an annual fitness reimbursement program to help employees maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Pension Plan
We provide a pension to our Full-Time employees through an RRSP matching program.
Parental Leave Top-Up
We provide a Supplement top up program for parents to allow them to take the time they need with their families.
Employee Assistance Program
We provide access to an Employment Assistance Program (EAP). This program is designed to help employees manage and prevent challenges, so they stay healthy at work and home.
Relocation Assistance
We have a relocation program in place to assist employees with relocation expenses. Reach out to your HR Advisor regarding your eligibility for this program.
Professional Development
We encourage our employees to continuously develop themselves through continuous development opportunities, training, and education assistance.
Time Off
We offer our Full-Time employees a generous and competitive time-off plan to allow our employees to take the time they need.
Cultural/Wellness Days
As a First Nations organization, SLFNHA values Anishinabe teachings and recognizes the importance of mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing. SLFNHA also respects individual, family, and community beliefs and traditions.
Wellness and cultural days are meant to promote and support participation in First Nations and other cultural events and activities and to encourage our employees to achieve wholistic wellness.
