The Developmental Services Program works with adults and young adults living with developmental disabilities. Some of the specialized programs we offer are:
The Transitional Youth Program works with young adults, ages 16-24, assisting and facilitating successful transitions from school to adult life. The ultimate goal of this initiative is for the participants to be able to make informed choices about future life directions with the hope they will learn enough skills to live a more qualitative independent life.
The Community Outreach Program partners with Community Living Sioux Lookout and Surrey Place Centre (MMW program). This partnership enhances our ability to provide clinical services and resources (via videoconferencing) to adults (18 years and older) living with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, behaviour challenges difficult to diagnose, or others who simply need help with their medications. This services focuses on adults living with developmental disabilities in the First Nation communities.
